I know and tried to change fan speeds, but nothing has changed / the laptop is quite noisy. So could anyone of you give me/us a detail explanation on how to lower the fan speeds?
I tried to change lots if settings.... and by the way whats a thermal device?

I actually think it doesn't work. I've set the fan start temperatures to extreamly high levels and nothing changes, its still running on low speed in idle.

Your Bios Version is 37 not reflashable so . . . Downgrade to 30 or 31 and redo backup !

How To Downgrade :

Run this to downgrade:

Remember to set the option in bios that enables you to flash an older bios, before you run it.

I found another solution - Just in case it was ever needed.

Download the 1.14 version

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...cn31ww.exe

Then use 7-zip to extract that .exe file, You will find a platform.ini file into that folder.

Then Look for "BIOSVFEnable=2" and replace it with "BIOSVFEnable=0", run as Administrator InsydeFlash.exe tool and go !

Just to be sure, I noticed in the file title you put "touch" however mine is not a touchscreen model. This won't cause any problems will it?
