Normaly It works without issue, but something can go wrong in this case is Recovery
Procedure don't works then You have to use an SPI Progrmmer and We can recover
all !
You can Google to find how many Bios Mod were flashed successfully !

Hello
I hope it's fine that I use this thread..

I have the same problem: I would like to use my new "intel dual band wireless ac 3160" on my Lenovo Y50. I have ran the 2 tools and the results are:

Tool 1: https://www.sendspace.com/file/em8rg1
Tool 2: https://www.sendspace.com/file/r33mbd

Could you please help me too?

Ok friend,
Bios v.37 has the Eeprom Write Protected so You have to Downgrade and redo result files !

How To Downgrade :

snebob

Run this to downgrade:

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...vy2113.exe

Remember to set the option in bios that enables you to flash an older bios, before you run it.

nop

I found another solution - Just in case it was ever needed.

Download the 1.14 version

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...cn31ww.exe

Then use 7-zip to extract that .exe file, You will find a platform.ini file into that folder.

Then Look for "BIOSVFEnable=2" and replace it with "BIOSVFEnable=0", run as Administrator InsydeFlash.exe tool and go !

Verified working
