I used the second method.
Laptop: Lenovo Y50
BIOS version is 1.14

I have a Lenovo Y50-70, and would happily donate if you could unlock the addtional menu(s) and get rid of the wireless card whitelist for me. [If you're still in the business of doing that...I Hope ]

Read some Posts before ! Best is to Downgrade to 1.30 or 1.31 Bios !


How To Downgrade :

snebob

Run this to downgrade:

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...vy2113.exe

Remember to set the option in bios that enables you to flash an older bios, before you run it.

I found another solution - Just in case it was ever needed.

Download the 1.14 version

http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...cn31ww.exe

Then use 7-zip to extract that .exe file, You will find a platform.ini file into that folder.

Then Look for "BIOSVFEnable=2" and replace it with "BIOSVFEnable=0", run as Administrator InsydeFlash.exe tool and go !

Verified working


Then use this tool run It as Admin and upload here the result fle :

Sorry about my ignorance in advance, but what could I unlock with a BIOS mod for the Y50-70?

I've got one too, and I'm wondering what else other than WLAN whitelist could I get?
I'm not planning to change the WLAN board.
