He(/or she) gave link before our error 201 messages, totally missed that first but after starting at the top to see if I did something wrong it catched my eye. But yea, with the newer version the flash is smooth sailing.

ah yes, somehow i completely missed it. I have now installed my 7260 and its a 100x better than the crappy old atheros card.

Oh boy this is exciting! I just realized my crappy atheros card can't connect to the 5ghz band, THEN I've discovered that there's a freakin whitelist in my bios, and THEEEENN I've discovered that there's a fix thanks to you guys (mind...blown).
Here's my info if needed (is this really an individual thing or do we all have the same bioses??)

Does it mean I can also stop using the über crappy atheros bluetooth dongle too? oh boy oh boy!

PS: the procedure to flash isn't crystal-clear here :op I still don't get if only one of you guys managed to flash the modded bios because it was tailored specifically for him.
EDIT1: ok, dlded one of above bioses and read the README. It IS individualized...In which case I'd gladly give a few bucks for the effort. Let me know.

- Thanks a million! I think it worked great No way to tell for now, I guess because I'll just go and order the intel card right away. I'll report back in a week.
EDIT: thanks to Amazon premium, I'll get the card on thursday, so I might report earlier
- The procedure was smooth, except that my sandisk 64gb stick couldn't boot with uefi mode on, so I had to switch back to usb legacy boot in the bios first.
- I got a little error message about language I think, but there WAS a flash, and a green message at the end saying the operation had completed, so I should be good.
- Come on, open up this paypal account :p you know you want a few bucks for your pain ^^ (people will now flood you to remove this Atheros crap!)
