[REQUEST] Lenovo Y50-70 (9ECNxxWW) Whitelist Removal

Hi everyone.

I recently bought Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 for my lenovo y50-70 before knowing of the whitelist :/ I got myself in a bad situation as i managed to break one of the antenna ports on my old card (genius) can you help me remove the whitelist please?
Any help would greatly be appreciated

Hello,I have the same problem as the original poster of this thread. I put an intel 7260-AC into my lenovo y50-70 and it's blocked, I downgraded my bios to 9ecn31ww(v1.13).

Can you please give me a clear set of instructions for how to get past this problem? I have tried reading this forum but a lot of the download links are dead and it is quite hard to follow, I will give you a tip on paypal if you can help me out with this.

Sorry to appear useless but this problem has been stressing me out so much recently.

Like You read on different post You can reflash Bios v.2.01 or above using v.1.13 or 1.14 to Unlock Eeprom Chip !
So upload your actual Bios Backup (result file) !

here there are these Bios Mod, but if You need the version 9ECN37WW(2.01) or above
then You have upload this one !

Only version 30 or 31 are Full Moddable so Downgrade . . .


How To Downgrade :

Run this to downgrade:

Remember to set the option in bios that enables you to flash an older bios, before you run it.

I found another solution - Just in case it was ever needed.

Download the 1.14 version

Then use 7-zip to extract that .exe file, You will find a platform.ini file into that folder.

Then Look for "BIOSVFEnable=2" and replace it with "BIOSVFEnable=0", run as Administrator InsydeFlash.exe tool and go !

Verified working !

So Downgrade to this version to unlock Eeprom Chip and then reflash the Bios Mod :

I have lenovo y50-70 and it had realtek wifi card, now I bought Intel 7265 from amazon but after installing I get error that the wifi adapter is unauthorised and blocked. My BIOS is 9ecn40ww. Please help!
