This bios is moddable but bios chip is rewrite protected!
Set your laptop to suspended mode and wake up it after few seconds.
Then run this tool as Admin and upload results

Dear Da Vinci Code

I also made one with this tool

https://www.sendspace.com/file/ht6spd

This file might be wrong? It's 6MB and not 4MB. When I run under W10 even with admin it said I don't have admin right.

I don't know how everyone get the tool1.2 and 1.8 to work
I tried Windows 8.1 (stock) and now I even tried Win7 with WinToUSB and it still crash and said the platform is invalid.

Very frustrating that this awesome laptop comes with such a crappy NIC considering all communication with it is wireless and then they won't even let you put something better in.

Run and upload result.rar please

Hello, I used the TESTBack.exe to get the file

Please see if you can help me whitelist.

Hello, Sorry to ask maybe again all the question people before me have asked, but as I read I'm confused about all steps as some of the advises given are for an specific person.

I just need help with my case as similar than others, I have a problem when I install my WiFi AC card my yoga 2 pro tell me that "Unauthorized wireless network card is plugged in. Power off and remove it" and I need to avoid the whitelist from the Bios to use this into my laptop

the only thing I know about the Bios is that the bios version is:  76CN43WW

if you need more info please ask me, thanks

attached is the photo of the WiFi card I bought

Thanks in advance for your help

Given you have a basis know how .. here the fundamental steps ... When you don't know what you are doing you will risk a brik. Consider ... everything written without taking over any responsibility for your faults or different behaviour of your notebook. It was working for me ...

1)     Create a Bios Dump

Da Vinci CodeHello, guys!

Set your laptop to suspended mode and wake up it after few seconds.
Then run this tool as Admin and upload results

When you are using W10 --> use a W7 or W8 Live-CD

2)     Modify Bios …

https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...#pid114518
You need to use Ubuntu 14.04 http://releases.ubuntu.com/14.04/ to unhide the advanced menu. After you make a backup you can try to modify it using this guide https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...#pid110398 , it worked for me.

3)     Disable Bios write protection

Good news ... very likely you don't need any SPI ... just follow that instruction. It is worth to spend a few minutes before buying something.
disable write protection Bios

--> Chapter 2 is the relevant one. When you have no linux installed on your Y2P (what I assume) create an Ubunto boot-usb.

Just consider that ...
- version 16.04 is not working (at least it wasn't for me).
- 14.04 was working smoothly
- create uefi boot sequence otherwise you  will not see the efi-files in your live-ubunto
- tool  for creation ...
