Any chance i could fix missing DMI information with a bios update? I have tried various tools but have no luck. Could I honestly just flash another persons bios and enjoy a clone of theirs? I bought mine used and it has no model type and serial number in the bios. Any help?

Thanks for the reply and the link. For whatever reason I have been completely unable to update DMI information or flash modified bios. It's like I have a write protection keeping me from doing it.

Guys, i got problem with installing modyified BIOS thru fptw64.exe... I tried different system wersions and different versions of FPTW, but stil get "Error 201 FPTW64.exe cannot be run on the current platform"... what I can do with that??

I own a Lenovo Z40-70 and want to upgrade the stock Qualcomm Atheros Wireless card to a Intel 8265NGW.
I tried to download the tools in the first post of another thread, but the access is restricted.
Where can i find the tools to backup my BIOS and them post them here?

I have a z50-70 with bios 9BCN25WW and trying to remove whitelist to replace the current wi-fi adapter (Broadcom) with a Intel 3160ngw.
Would you please help me finding the backup tools and modifications to the bios.

Hi. I tried before, but now people seem to be successfully de-whitelisting their Z40-70 bios. I have a Z40-70 with bios 9BCN91WW, and I'd like to install an Intel 9260 wireless card.

Here is my LENOVO-9BCN91WW.rom created with Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0, in case that's what you need: [removed]
