[REQUEST] MSI B85-G43 Gaming Unlock Possible OC
#11
Thanks, I thought maybe we'd get lucky and "Main" contents would be in there Sad

Here, please test these and let me know which one has "Microcode Selection" setting in the Overclocking >> CPU Features section (just above CFG Lock)

Please note, all BIOS files have same name as stock because this is usually required for MSI to reflash mod BIOS from M-Flash. You can test if other named file than stock name will work and let me know if you want, and if it allows it then next time I wont name them all with same name. So, for this round, keep all in correct folder, or only copy one to USB at a time and test, so you know which is which and can let me know which worked once you're done testing. Or do the renaming test right away and then you can rename them all if you want, if it allows it, and then just let me know which folder the one that worked came from.

Please test in the following order, and stop testing once you see the Microcode Selection setting appear, no further testing of the other BIOS required.

MicrocodeSelectBCPOnly \ U
MicrocodeSelectBCPOnly \ S

MicrocodeSelect-Setup \ 47
MicrocodeSelect-Setup \ 47 \ U
MicrocodeSelect-Setup \ 47 \ S

MicrocodeSelect-Setup \ 47FF
MicrocodeSelect-Setup \ 47FF \ U
MicrocodeSelect-Setup \ 47FF \ S

MicrocodeSelect-Setup \ 2902
MicrocodeSelect-Setup \ 2902 \ U
MicrocodeSelect-Setup \ 2902 \ S

Thanks, no need to test any further for now then, that's easy! Big Grin To confirm, the BIOS at MicrocodeSelectBCPOnly \ U was the one you tested correct?

Unless other settings are hidden differently, then you wont need to test anymore "Sets" of BIOS.
Please wait and I will get you BIOS with missing stuff made visible.

Sorry for delays here! We need one more test, because some settings are hidden in a different way which we didn't get to test last round because that setting used different suppression variables, plus we never had to test far enough into that set to use any BIOS that changed similar things for that previous setting test.

Please test these BIOS and let me know which one, if any, show Bclk setting at top of Overclocking section above CPU Ratio
Please test in this order, stop when BCLK appears and let me know which BIOS it is, do not test further BIOS after that.
1. BCPUonly
2. FFSup.bin
3. FFSupBCPU.bin

OK, so we can go quicker now, find and download AMIBCP 4.55 (or send me PM if you can't find). Then test this BIOS, compare what you see in AMIBCP @ Overclocking section vs what you now see in actual BIOS. Anything still missing let me know. I only made changes inside OC section, once you open with AMIBCP you can see, anything set to "User" for Access Level is what I changed to make visible for you
http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?fil...5704156950

I did not change the DRAM Frequency setting, unsure which you currently can use (two of them are max 3200MHz, other is max 2666MHz)
We can change to the higher one, if you want, and you have memory/CPU that can utilize that.

It's OK, I'm always behind anyway Big Grin

Check for missing items now, after flashing that BIOS, as mentioned in the post you quoted.
