Thanks a lot BDMaster, that was very helpful... anyway I saw that thing about getting the error message in the platform.ini file in the bios update just a few minutes before seeing your reply... I don't exactly know what programming language it was written by, but I saw codes for platform check !!!
And thanks a lot BDMaster for your efforts to help me since I got an account on this wonderful website...
and also I checked the file sizes and the file names and all that stuff it is identical for that of the L850 and my C850, so I think they are really Identical and the setup should work for me !!!
I will try it soon when ready and report back if it works !!! I hope it does, and I hope I don't get prevented from flashing it because it is the same version, but I think there is a work around for this !!! in platform.ini there is something named force flash if I enable it then the bios will get flashed without any prevention from the setup as long as I know...
And one more question... just in case I bricked my lappy which is possible cuz I never flashed a modded bios into it only did bios updates, but still I think I won't brick it cuz I am not a total computer noob, I worked with hardware at a computer garage for long enough !!! question is if I brick my toshiba does any one here know the procedure for recovery to that bios ??? cuz I got really confused by other saying use phoenix crysis tool, other saying use a bootable DOS usb with the bios backup on it. and many more methods that no one ever replied that they worked for him, so they seem useless !!! If any one knows the method thanks a lot for sharing your information, not just with me, but with all others who may need this thread I created !!!!
