[REQUEST] Unlock CQ45-810LA InsydeH2O F.46 bios to enable HM77 chipset
#1
Hi!
I have a Compaq C45-810LA with a Celeron B820 Processor and i upgraded this processor to Intel Core I3-3110M, but i have a problem, the chipset that have a Insyde MOBO is a HM70 and not support I3-I5-I7 processor. Thats processors use HM77 Chipset.
The real problem is that the Notebook works fine only 30 min and after suddently turn off.
I read that is possible to unlock this feature in mobo to allow I Cores processor, but i dont know if that is possible.
Exist CQ45 and HP1000-1416LA that have i3-3110m and same housing (case) that CQ45 with B620 Celeron, but i dont know if have same mobo (i supposed that yes)

How can i to unlock to support HM77 to dissapear the turn off problem?
If is possible, unlock the most features posible, (power, advanced etc menus)

This is the model of my notebook

http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/self...el/5329854

Maybe anyone can unlock the bios file.

Thanks you!

Hello, crynof!
It seems you have HM70 chipset not HM77.This chipset supports less perfomance cpus (like Celeron and Pentium) and no I-cores.
If you want to use Core I3-3110M you should choose 1 of way.
1.Buy laptop with HM77 chipset.
2.Replace HM70 to HM77 (may be not compatible!). This work can be done in laptop services only.
Remember, HM77 chipset not same as HM70.
Good Luck!

One question, Its possible enable I-core on HM70?, but that is supported because works fine for 30 min and the suddently shutdown seem be a timer limitation only.

Otherwise, is posible change chipset?

Thanks!

No way. As I know, hm70 chipset working with Celerons and Pentiums only.HM76-HM77 works with I3-I5-I7.30 min working and turning off is protection because hm70 is not compatible with I3.
Chipset may be changed on infrared solder station only or in laptop services. You also need a mod bios for new HM77 if your model have no mb with same chipset.
