I like to install a new Atheros n pci card in an older XP laptop that has a bad broadcom b/g. Here are current specs:

System Model Presario V5000 (ET820UA#ABA)
BIOS Version/Date Hewlett-Packard F.54, 2/8/2007
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4318&SUBSYS_1355103C&REV_02\4&13826118&0&10A4

what error you receive when inserting the new card?

Doesn't matter now, i uploaded mod bios for you, look for it following second HERE of my signature Wink

Thank you. It allowed me to install the new card and not get the error of non support of wireless device on boot.
