[Removed, sp51578] Dv3 2250 Whitelist removal request
#1
i have a Hp Dv3 2250 with a Intel WiFi link 1000 BGN
PCI/VEN_8086&DEV_0084&subsys_13158086

i would like to use my intel Advanced-N 6200 card, but i get 104 error

the new card i havent got a clue about the subsys but i found the ven and dev to be 8086 & 422C (on this website)

please help me, i dont know what to do (sell the card and buy a supported one or hack my bios)

i tried to look myself, but i get mad looking at HEX code Tongue

the bios i used was found here

Thanks for you time and expertise

i tried to get the Subsys code with the method mentioned on some other posts here, it didnt work because after i choose Harddrive in boot selection it still gives me error 104...

it is a fairly new laptop i guess, and i hope you can still get my bios modded right for me...

if you have a different method to try and get the subsys of the new module, i will try it... any help is appreciated!

edit: I just thought of booting up with F8 and select windows safe mode, instead of boot selection menu... is this a safe way to check the new subsys or cant i do that?

please help me :'-(

Edit2: I just tried booting up with F8 and it worked ^^
heres the total sum up of the 2 cards

NEW Advanced-N 6200

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_422C&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_422C&CC_0280

OLD WiFi link 1000

from the beginning i have a problem with this bios, once decompress there is 2 files, 306EF14.FD and 306DF14.FD. 306EF14.FD can be modified and 306EF14.FD cannot because HzH2O report a FV00 and FV01 freespace equal to zero, and with no freespace no mod. I've tried different way with no success.

If your model is 306D you are lucky and i can upload the mod. let me know.
