Surely AW 15 R1 is not same system/BIOS as 17 R2? If it is then Dell is really dumb!
I guess so, at least files are exact hex match for the files we edit here, so you should be correct and this should unlock it http://www.filedropper.com/biosregmu

I have a Alienware 15R2 with the latest BIOS 1.7.0 Which have been published on Dell Website, My friend Judal57 told me that you can unlock BIOS.. i made a Dump Using Intel Flash Programming Tool.. This is the Command ive used FPTw.exe -bios -d biosreg.bin, everything is stock except my Panel Which is B156HANO4.2 120hz IPS panel, sadly the brightness Control doesnt work with current bios, EDID is been blocked i guess, hope you can help me unlock BIOS.. thank you in advance.. System Config Skylake 6700HQ, 16GB DDR4 2133 Ram, 970 Pro 256 Samsung NVMe Drive, GTX980M 8GB..

I don't think brightness control is one of the areas I usually unlock for users, you'll have to check and let me know if that submenu with this option is visible, if not I can make it visible for you.
Please run MEinfowin.exe -verbose
And check the end of the report, do you see Measured & Verified Boot enabled on the left/FPF side at bottom of report?
I ask this because your BIOS is not like anyone else BIOS here, and bootguard is setup, we need to make sure it's not properly enabled.
Everyone else I unlocked before this is on BIOS A10/Test019 with different flash ID too, and model is Alienware 15, yours shows the version you mentioned above and model 15 R2 (unlike anyone else here who said they have 17 R2 or 15 R1). This may be due to all them using older BIOS, or maybe they have different board than you in their systems? Their BIOS layout and structure is entirely different as well. And their BIOS region dump is not same size as yours either, so entire BIOS is larger on yours than theirs too (12MB or 16MB for you, vs 8MB total for them) Anyway, BIOS unlock will not be the same, but I'm sure I can get it for this system too, as long as you don't have bootguard enabled at the FPF. Does your BIOS look like the general/generic AMI Aptio type (Blue/gray), show me an image example.
Sorry, I guess I just realized everyone who had 15 was R1 before, and 17 R2

Im extremely sorry for posting here, should i start a new thread for Alienware 15R2/17R3, both have same BIOS.. Yes its not the same as the older 15R1/17R2.. Mine is Skylake Chip 6th Gen, and those 15R1/17R2 is Haswell 4th Gen, btw im attaching the screen of MEINFO and the BIOS screen as well..

Boot guard is active on this system, so you cannot edit that region of the BIOS that's needed to unlock BIOS
Sorry, nothing can be done about this unless you replace your PCH that does not have key burned into the FPF fuses
Any attempt at a single byte change will = brick, so good thing we checked!
This either must not have been done on some earlier sold models, or some systems didn't have it enabled properly, because I do see mod BIOS out there for 15R2
If you have flash programmer we can test a single edit and confirm.
Can you dump your FD, ME, EC, and GbE if present so I can rebuild a complete BIOS and check the ME FW setting (it doesn't matter, due to PCH is burned in, but I want to check what ME FW is set to anyway)
FPTw.exe -desc -d fd.bin
FPTw.exe -me -d me.bin
FPTw.exe -ec -d ec.bin
FPTw.exe -gbe -d gbe.bin
Some of those may error, or may not be present, main goal is ME FW anyway.

Oh i See, thats sad, But anywas thank you so much for trying out, appreciate that.. i only wanted my panel brightness control to work.. sadly.. its stuck at 100% brightness, someone from notebook forum told me someone laptop manufacturers blacklist the aftermarket panels.. i dont have a flash programmer hardware tool with me, anyways keep up the work

You can get flash programmer cheap, long wait for delivery if you wait for cheap, but it's well worth it since it can save you from bad flash or BIOS stopping you from putting in mod BIOS on other systems etc. Less than $7 shipped for both items you need https://www.ebay.com/itm/201316582787 https://www.ebay.com/itm/382486015977

Ok will check on the Programmer, Problem is shipping to my country, i live in india, ill have to check here.. btw these are the files u asked, 3 gave errors..
