(Request) Asus BM5275.
#41
Some searching I found out there is another the way to flash using AFUDOS? I think, Should I try using that software through CMD and bootable usb?

Edit: Created a boot able usb and tried flashing through afudos I used command (afudos filename. rom /p) now it shows error bios does not support afu.

If you are talking about /GAN with V3 and DOS, then don't do it, unless you are ready to recover BIOS with your programmer.
Your BIOS does not support AFU means version is not compatible

On the V5 error, uncheck the ME box before you open the file, or show me image of all the options you see before opening a file and I'll tell you what to do (Mainly, uncheck everything except main BIOS block). Did you try the one that's in a W /GAN folder V5? Never mind, I get same error here with all versions, including stock BIOS too (So it's just incompatible, even if you uncheck ME and check main block only and re-open files.)

EZ flash gave you what error now? About the date again? If yes, then nothing you can do except program in the other BIOS. Dump your current BIOS with programmer first and make sure it's a good BIOS file (check with several tools, it should look similar to all other BIOS in those same tools).

EZ flash shows error "Version in ROM file is older than existing board". I uploaded the dumped bin file through programmer in #31 and I am posting it here again. I only flashed the BCPEDIT file you sent me since then from #33. Do I need to remove the chip and dump my BIOS again or will this one work fine?

Attached Files
.bin   backup bios LOST.bin (Size: 8 MB / Downloads: 0)

File in 31 can't be current dumped BIOS, since you flashed BIOS I sent in #33. I only wanted you to dump the current BIOS, so you'd have a known good BIOS to go back to, but you are correct, I think all dumps you've sent would serve that purpose anyway. Best to go ahead and program in the other board BIOS now just as test, to confirm it works 100% OK with your board, once we're sure it does I'll copy over your board details into it instead of this hassle we're having now trying to do it the hard way Big Grin

I never changed rom version, you said date was the error before. If you want to try more before doing the other BIOS straight in we can, I can change rom version I suppose?
All ROM is same version now 1302, and latest file I sent you was 2012 dated now (vs others 2011). I think this is all fake errors it's giving you, just not wanting to do what we want, maybe I'm missing something I can't find (This is old BIOS, not as easy to locate everything like new BIOS) So I say lets go with above, straight to it and then I'll fix details for you once your sure that BIOS is OK on your board

You are right it is giving us fake errors to stop us from doing what we want, as I can see my current version in 0602 and we are trying to update to v13. Even I think programming would be the right option now. If you can create a rom file for us to program into my chip that would be the best course of action as every other method to flash the bios has failed. In case anything goes wrong, can I reprogram using backup bios file uploaded in the last post i.e. from #31?
Edit: Or else I'll just save a new backup before flashing the modified rom given by you because I'm going to use the programmer anyway.

Program in the BIOS from Asus as mentioned, then if all works OK I will edit in your details. And yes, you can program back any of your backups from programmer, or any complete BIOS I've sent you already too that you used that worked, or yes as you mentioned make new backup first with programmer of current and then program the new one in.

Today I got this random error boot block compataible version 007 since than I can't start my PC. I haven't flash or programmed anything on it, this has happened randomly. What can be the cause of this.

Edit: Should I Ignore this and just flash the regular p7h55 or do something else? My pc wont start just shows this error and says waiting for usb or cd.

Yes, ignore this and program in the other BIOS. Or program in the last working one you used

Okay first I am programming the regular p7h55 bios on my chip. I'll check what problems I am facing or whether it's working or not. If it does not work I'll program the last working backup on my chip.

Hey lost the regular p7h55 bios is a rom file I am not sure how can I program that through the ch341a programmer as the programmer requires BIN file. My chip is connected on my laptop if you could help or else I will have to flash the backup of my bios.

Edit: Is there any software to convert files from rom to bin I can use to program?
