Request Asus Strix G713QR
#1
I would like to request an option to disable or enable ftpm.
Thats the option would like to be added on the bios. As of now Asus is still not providing fix for this issue and still ignoring the request of provide fix.

If possible, please use 325 version.

If you could solve the problem of read/write bios (need an hardware spi programmer) on this laptop ,i can help you out to do this mod. If can't , i will suggest that you could try to change variable by Grub to change bios tweak. Please following this then respond to the result.

If only the spi programmer. I could order it online, regarding the opening and checking of the chip I could do it also.

1. Because the restriction of chip package(wson8) & chip type(new 74 series) on zen3 laptops ,so you may take a lots work to do it or purchase more expensive programmer & a probe-type clip. You can refer to this post.

2. Post a screenshot and explain what occured. Only said "getting error" ,i can't get it.

I can't solve this issue ,i guess if you do the same operation by Ru.efi ,you will still meet the same error.

Thank you for the reply.

So even using spi programmer it will be very hard correct?

If you can read/write bios normally by spi programmer ,we don't need to change bios tweak by Grub. We can directly unlock hidden sections then you can adjust them in the bios.

Change bios tweak by Grub or Ru.efi is without any bios modify. It only change variables under some store odule or nvram.

I see. So if I try to use RU.efi there will big chance that it will create same error? I will try it later. But I think I'm gonna order spi programmer also for future use. We never known will ASUS provide fix on there future bios update
