[Request] Dell Latitude D530 Intel T9x00 Support
#51
I know it. I'm analysing A04 & A05 (D630) for patching A10 (D530). But it isn't microcode problems.
Try my mod3. Only 02_4.ROM & 07_2.ROM modules are patched.
I think that with my mod you should see Dell's logo & a progress bar after full cleaning CMOS...

Note, that when you pull the CMOS battery for 10 min, main battery must be removed!

Ok so as always...

1) Flash new Deathbringer bios mod - OK no problems
2) Reboot to windows, shut down.
3) Remove AC jack, Main Battery, and CMOS
4) Swap CPU over to T9500
5) Ensure 10 mins have passed
6) Replace CMOS, Main Battery and AC jack.
7) Tried to boot - no action - just the HDD light flashing

Try in 6) don't use "Main Battery". Only "AC jack"

OK - No difference, does the same thing.

First time I booted it I got this screen:-

Did you clear CMOS in that case? What you did exactly to get this logo?
Can you repeat it?

I really don't know, I've been swapping stuff around, trying different things and I can't get it to happen.

I think something similar happened once when I was using my own modded bios with just the microcode.

No I cannot repeat the splash screen Sad

Try in 3) after main and CMOS batteries removing press and hold power button for 30 sec.
P.S. Remove HDD and wifi card

Doesn't make any difference.

Would it be a very bad idea to flash it with the d630 bios ???
