[Request] Unlock IBM ThinkPad R50e

It might be a bit odd request but I have a R50e which is in perfect condition and I have plans with it for some specific tasks. But there is no existing mod for this model. Sadly it's pretty hard to replace the IDE HDD so I would replace it with an mSATA adapter while rebuild it. As far as I remember it does not accept all kind of IDE drives so it would be cool if someone can unlock HDD support. RAM is same case. It may have a 1GB limit(?). So any unlock would be cool. Also if there is any hidden or performance related option can be unlocked that might be usefull. Thanks.
