Sad

I'll try results with another OS and BIOS settings, although they are almost nonexistent.

Insyde flasher for a similar model could not write a BIOS image on it?

Strangely enough, a very, very similar model has drivers for Windows 7 x64 at Sony Asia, showing that it could be BIOS-compatible with x64.

The amazing Sony: they don't have the BIOS available for download, even the factory one. The same happens even for similar models like VPCX135LG.

I've found a FTP, but the naming convention doesn't help either.

I'll try and report!

Flash seems to work, but no differences in the BIOS.

Edit: I've extracted again the BIOS image to compare with yours and the original, and it differs from them all. I've used fc.exe at cmd.

INSYDE-R1020U4_new.rom

Also, BIOS image can't be flashed using WBFLASH.exe, only with InsydeFlash.exe.

Please let me know if I can help with any other detail.

Ok I saw and It's all ok We can proceed again . . .
Now You have to prepare a sequence of your Menu Tab screenshots to see
which options are visible and which ones not !
Youca n read this EFI IFR txt and find differences too then ask to me to unlock them !
