[SOLVED] HP Pavilion ZD8000 BIOS RAM Limit?

Hello, I have an HP Compaq nx9600 which is basically a ZD8000 in sperry's. It uses the same motherboard, same CPU, GPU (M22 in my case), and has the same problem with not addressing anything above 2.5GB.
I'm unlucky since I don't have the M24 motherboard, so I can't flash this BIOS. It does use the same F.34 BIOS image, however. I hope someone can get this mod compiled for M22 systems, like most nx9600 laptops.

BIOSCOD2 modules of BIOS for motherboards with M22 and M24 GPUs are identical, so this can be done simply by copying the module from one BIOS to the other.

Hello again, I know it's been quite a while. I own an HP Pavilion zd8000 that has 256MB of video RAM and the ATI X600 video card. Sadly... the BIOS patch for this doesn't really work. While it will try to start with good RAM sticks (2+1GB), unfortunately it won't POST. I think there is a bug in the BIOSCOD2 module or something that affects some systems like this one with 256MB of VRAM. If there is anything I need to provide please let me know.

Default tolud is 2560 MB, and with patch it's around 3000 MB. I think there's not enough ram left to allocate for video card.
Try installing more ram.

That sadly does not work, with 2x 2GB sticks.

Sadly it still doesn't POST with more than 2.5GB of RAM. This shouldn't be a hardware issue though, as it will read the sticks themselves perfectly fine.
