Hello!

I have an Intel AC-7260 that I am looking to install on a Lenovo E545.

The current BIOS is Lenovo HRET24WW (1.12) 1/24/2014

I ran the Universal BIOS backup and posted the file below. I couldn't get the NEW_BACKUP_FTPS.exe to run. It had a 7zip error.

I have never flashed a BIOS and see quick responses that have a RAR file. Once I do get that file, what would I do next. I am confident that I can do this as I like learning new things but I don't want to be coy and do something foolish.

Hi there,

I would like to get the whitelist removed from my Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E545 so I can install an Intel 7260AC wireless card. Attached is the universal backup for the unit. I was unable to get the BACKUP_Tools to run.

I am new to this and am not sure about one thing: if I have the exact same unit and BIOS version (HRET24WW), can I use this BIOS file also? Or is each modded BIOS specific to that one person's PC?

Hiya,
I have the Thinkpad Edge E545 as well, and wanted to install a newer wireless card and would like a modded BIOS to fix the unauthorized network card error. I hope I'm allowed to post here, as I just created an account today.
