[SOLVED] Lenovo E545 (HRETxxWW) WiFi + Bluetooth Whitelist Removal
#91
Thanks BDMaster, but it didn't appear to work. I successfully flashed the BIOS, and it was able to boot into windows, but... as soon as I replaced the WIFI card it remained frozen at the initial boot screen (the one where it says press "enter" to stop the boot-up process). After replacing the wifi card with the original, it again was able to boot up as usual.

If you would also clarify the part of the read-me you sent:

"Don't touch Video Settings or Disable Video Card It will Brick laptop"

Is that supposed to mean in BIOS, or do you mean I can't touch video settings in windows?

Thank you very much!

It didn't give Error 1802 for the Whitelist ?
Normaly when Bios get a different WiFi Card involve the Whitelist control and prints
this alert, sopping Boot Process :

1802: Unauthorized network card is plugged in - Power off and remove the miniPCI netwok card

Let me know
Regards

P.S. could You do a new Bios Backup and upload It to check if Bios Mod is been flashed ?

No, it didn't give that error - I got it before flashing the BIOS, but now it just seems to freeze at the Logo screen (with the new card installed).

I've uploaded the updated BIOS version: http://rghost.net/8cFMnSzCV

I should also mention that the laptop randomly shutdown and restarted (once only) into a similar program like when I flashed the BIOS - I think just firefox and solitaire was running at the time before it happened. Manually shutting it down and restarting booted up windows again without trouble since. I also recently cloned the harddrive and put in an SSD - can that be causing some conflict?

Thanks very much!

"Don't touch Video Settings or Disable Video Card It will Brick laptop"

Is that supposed to mean in BIOS, or do you mean I can't touch video settings in windows?
