if you can flash the original with no problems than try this new v5 version next, it is less modified, hopefully we can figure out what this card is requiring from the bios.

I read online a lot of people are missing the bt component when the install the card, It does sound like a problem in the bios as they have all installed it aftermarket, there a re alot of pcie options in the bios but they are port specific

Hello, yes I already enabled UEFI, I did not enable raid but can instead of ahci.
I unlokced Vt-d it will work depending on your processor, I alowed for a 24 bit display, although the 3d display for this model is only 18bit and that is the default. Unlocked options like fast boot which will be visable in the bios, but the main focuse is still on the PCIe there are a lot of options and I dont know the original port of the network card, if I had my laptop still I would have just sent you a working bios. Its hard not being able to test things so I don't want to over tweak it. btw what processor and ram are you using too?

I tried to flash the original bios ... nothing, the same error.
The PCI bus for the wifi card is: PCI bus 2, device 0, function 0 (from device manager).
Can we add Cpu microcode for the new cpus?

I found that post for SONY bios updates..http://forum.notebookreview.com/sony/550886-guide-how-create-flashable-bios-backup-bios.html
and that infos:
Extracting BIOS on Sandy Bridge laptops (2010)
Has anyone figured out how to extract the .ROM or .HDR file out of the BIOS executable? The BIOSNAME -writehdrfile in command line no longer works with sandy bridge based laptops. The BIOS .exe no longer recognizes the command.
I tried using Universal BIOS backup toolkit to pull the BIOS straight off the BIOS chip, but the program seems to return an incomplete BIOS.

Hi to all,
Sorry that  I open an old thread again. I have the same prob updatig a new WiFi Card for the same machine. Would be glad if someone could help me.

When I secure my BIOS with afuwin, then the file is 2 MB in size. Secured with Universal Backup BIOS Toolkit 2.0, the backup file is 4MB. Why is it? Besides, I can not update your BIIOS file V5. Get the error 3 that the size does not match.

Thanks in advance.
