Everything is unlocked

Hi folks,

does the unlocked BIOS work as well with the Supermicro X8DT3 and X8DT3-LN4F? Should be fine, or!?!

And what exactly means 'unlocked'? I would like to have some overclocking features...

I tried on my x8dt3-ln4f, I had to use tools here because supermicro tools doesn't work well. I made an usb bootable with freedos. The bios indeed update, no worries (but be careful to reboot with the inboard vga or you will have black screen). But even though it is supposed to be unlocked, I couldn't see any differences or unlock features.
I tried to go beyond 26x multiplicator for my 2 xeon x5677 but it doesn't allow it. So it didn't change anything compare to the stock firmware.

I guess that this kind of server motherboards don't have any hidden features.

I've been trying to figure out overclocking on this board but it's being a pain, will probably have to do some solder mods to the clockgen pins which sucks since it's so small.. Has anyone else tried it?

This unlocked bios can't be flashed on X8DTi-F ?

If compare this two files in program AMIBCP,  Setup Configuration diffrence by unhide 4 options:
0154 CPU TM function:,
016b HDA Controller,
0123 Hard Disk Write Protect,
01a8 Remote Access Default,
that's all "unlocked".

Bios is the same for all X8D motherboards if I'm not wrong, but yea nothing is really unlocked here
