TX2z-1000cto
#1
Manufacturer: Hewlett Packard
BIOS type: Insyde EFI
BIOS version: F.25 w/SLIC 2.1 added
BIOS address: http://hotfile.com/dl/112312419/3bfc737/...z.zip.html

Now, I've tried, really really tried, to find where the 84 C0 75-pairing is. There are a few of them. I've tried setting the 75 in some of them to EB, as stated in the "how to remove whitelist from Insyde BIOS"-thread. Though, I haven't been very much successfull.
Though, no luck. So could anyone help pinpoint me in the right direction?

Original WiFi card btw is E414 2843 3C10 6613. This address-segment (E414 2843) exists in two places in the BIOS, which really has me dumfounded. What's going on? Why are there two checks for the card?
(No, not right after each other, there's a bunch of E414 2843-segments right after each other, for various cards to check against, then a huge segment of data, before the very same E414 2843-segments pop up again. Only one (second one) is the whitelist, what ever the other one is for is beyond me...)

Anyways, if anyone would help pinpoint me in the right direction I would be really thankfull. :)

for a full WLAN whitelist removal:
using EzH2O diect memory edit, replace the string

Thank you very much TTAV134! :)

Here's the resulting BIOS, verified working: http://hotfile.com/dl/112337789/e3afa42/...t.zip.html

Simple way of flashing it is:
Format a USB flash drive as FAT32 (aka VFAT in Linux).
Copy the file 3045.fd on to it. Rename the file as 3045.bin (just rename the .fd to .bin)

Shut down laptop. Hold down the left WIN-key and B (that's the B between V-B-N on the keyboard).
Turn on the laptop (with the USB flash drive in it). It will beep twice, then after some 4-5 seconds start reading from the USB flash drive. It'll beep thrice, then read, beep, read, and so on. After a while it reboots, then it says "flashing 0%"..."flashing 12%"... and so on, until done.

I had to start it up holding WIN+B twice though, first time it didn't seem to find the flash drive properly. Just a head up, you might have to do it twice as well.

in simple words you've used the bios recovery method to flash the bios.

Mhm. Simply because I tried flashing a few times my self to find the whitelist-check. Much easier to do it this way. I never did find the whitelist-check though. So thank you very much for your help, it's really appreciated! :)
Everything is working fine now.

Found my old TX2z. Thought I'd play around a bit with it. Was curious if anyone else had done some work on the bios. Since no one has, and since this is sort of the first link when googling the TX2z's bios, I'm uploading the bios here.
Since, well, the old link doesn't work any more.

Just download sp46499.exe (google it) for the bios flasher, if you prefer doing it that way. Or to make sure you get the original bios. In case of what ever.
