Tecra A6 whitelist remove
#1
Hello,

I am upgrading the wifi card to a 802.11n+BT one

-Manufacturer: Toshiba
-Model : Tecra A6 PTA61C-CV301E
-Bios Revision: 3.00, 5.60
-Bios Release: 01/07/2009 for both
-Bios link (v3.00): http://support.toshiba.ca/support/Downlo...00-WIN.exe
-Bios link (v5.60): http://support.toshiba.ca/support/Downlo...60-WIN.exe

-Bios Type: Phoenix BIOS

The v3.00 bios is for WinXP and the 5.60 is for Vista/7 (probably has SLIC 2.0?). I am considering a switch soon but will revert to XP if 7 doesn't run properly on this laptop. This is why I am presenting both bios versions.

Old WIFI card: Intel 3945ABG
Old PCI ID: VEN_8086&DEV_4222&SUBSYS_10408086&REV_02\4&20975680&0&00E1

New Wifi card: Sparklan WPER-101GN(BT), "works" with pin20 masked for now
New PCI ID: VEN_1814&DEV_3090&SUBSYS_20411A3B&REV_00\4&20975680&0&00E1

Would it be possible to remove the whitelist on both bios versions?

Thanks

Full success on both versions, the wireless card now works like a charm and the wifi switch is functional again. Thank you!
