The original card PCI id is 10ec:8172. It is a Realtek RTL8192SE WLAN Card.
If I switch the card with a different one the laptop won't boot (black screen).

And are you sure the other card is in working condition? Have you tried another different card?

I ask this because this is the first bios for toshiba laptop i see that includes whitelisting.

Well, I tried two different cards and I had the same result.. And moreover I found in this forum another Toshiba owner with the same problem (but L500 series):

That man have a problem regarding the power on/off switch the bios disabled that control, but pin 20 trick would have worked without messing with the bios, i think your problem is another one. If the machine does not boot....

There's one check against some PCI ID of wifi cards, i patched it to end always true. Good luck. There's no endless loop or discourage message on the bios so i hope it boots fine with any card now.

hi camilo
i tried to flash your rom with phlash16, winflash and winphlash, but i always receive the same message:
"Corrupted interface descriptors in the new BIOS file. Part Table Signature not found in the Interface".
Any clue?
