Toshiba Satellite L40-14G
#1
Hello,

My problem is battery - I bought a new one - 6 cell 4000mAh. I want to have callibration option in the bios because it is turning my Toshi off after 10 minutes on battery when fully loaded. Maybe it's caused by depleted CMOS battery (?) - it's not keeping settings and time.
L40 newest bios link :

I appreciate all the info provided about this case.

Regards

I don't think it is by CMOS battery faulty.

the laptop is required 19v 3.42a charger.
if your battery is new, I would like to ask your your charger for the 19v, 3.42a above ampere.

If you want to make sure for the bios,
you can check P20B550.BIN on Winxp based that is more higher version P20B200.BIN from bios-20080617131309.ZIP

go to toshiba support, and click on winxp, then it will show on P20B550.BIN bios.
