Is the new update suitable for XPS L502x (corei7 2630) ?
UPDATE 20/09/2014: Added new experimental ROM with the following changes:
- Updated Intel VBIOS to latest version v2170 (vanilla); full support for all L511z ports
- Updated Intel Microcode to latest version 0x29; works perfect on Win7/8.1/OSX
- Replaced PXE Boot Manager with the excellent PLOP v5.0 Boot Manager (thanks for the tip @Florin9doi)

No it's not. As per the first line: Only for L511z.

@kasar should be preparing a v7 BIOS for the L502x shortly.

Just a small couple of questions:
-the attach wph file in first post have all step to mod from first time until now ?
-where can i get the winflash.exe ?

You will need to get winflash.exe from the official Dell bios update package for the 15z. The WPH in the first post is all you need, and seeing as this is the first mod it is strongly advised to apply the /cvar parameter as well with winflash.exe

*NOTE* If any of the above sentence does not make much sense (and I suspect it is the case if you don't know where to get win flash by now) then you are strongly advised (i) to re-read the topic and subsequent 180 pages, or (ii) not to try this mod as you may end up bricking your XPS L511z.

you're welcome - glad it worked out well

yes maybe it's the placebo effect but even I noticed a difference in performance between the default v2104 and the newest v2170 driver.

This is amazing news. Do you think this would be possible for Acer Aspire 4752 laptop, using TianoCore Secure BIOS. Not having UEFI support means no GPT hard drives

I guess all I really need is the first advanced menu to enable everything myself.
