ok, HP is crap :-)

HP has its own ways to pack their bioses, i do not know why and I do not know how. So here is what we need to do:

(Paula has the same problem, maybe you both can talk and find out)
First I need a bios dump of yours.
Then you need to find out a method, together with Paula, how to flash back the patched bios, since the HP tools will not work.

Like try this: dump your bios and flash it back. If you made those steps successfully please post for everyone how to do it (have no HP here, sorry)

Then I will patch it :-) Deal?

i Have Insyde Bios and i already try bios's and my laptop Bricked
but i used my USB Memory and i download my Bios UEFI from ho and i try

Windows + B and start computer and it worked successfully

i have been watching you in this forum and you are doing god job. first of all i want to ask you , is it working which you are modded bios ? i colud not see any feedback.
And of course i need to unlock my bios settings especcialy advanced tab , beacuse i want to reduce my fan speed . i mean i am really sick of my fan noise.
if you have a time for me i will appriciate for you.

I managed to unlock these forms in my InsydeH2O Bios 3.5 on my Packard Bell Dot-S netbook. You may try those scripts on your bios. Check, if your machine has some recoveryfeature.

Run main.py -v infile outfile (with switch -v for verbose, to see if it finds hidden forms and unhides them)

Re-run the patched bios (outfile) through the script (main.py -v outfile). If there are no errors it should be ok.

Thanks for the script. I got it to run, but I get this output and the created file is the same as the original.

The BIOS file is for the HP Pavilion g6t-1b00, and I downloaded it from HP's website. Not sure if it matters but I ran the script on a 32 bit Linux server, and my computer is 64 bit.

Hey, just found this forum, I don't know if it's appropriate to just ask but I was wondering if you could have a look at my bios for an eMachines E642G. It's only got 4 tabs i think? I want to enable UEFI boot.

EDIT: The file can be opened with an archive manager. Unfortunately I can't install from windows since I killed my windows by converting my disk to GPT for linux, hence the need for UEFI. If it needs to be run from the exe I can boot to windows some other way at least.

Hi, i have a problem with no access to some features on the BIOS, i want to limit the amont of ram that my Graphic card takes off my laptop or correct it since Windows all the time shows up 784MB of RAM out of 2GB installed. I tried using Hiren's Boot CD to run MiniWindows XP and it shows the same amount of RAM, so there is something weird on the BIOS related to RAM settings.

My HP model is = DM1-2160la
BIOS = InsydeH2O version 3.5
Bios Modification Ver = F.17
