[Unlocked] A08 w/ Unlocked Options & 580M GPU Thermal Throttle Removal
#21
(08-19-2011, 12:10 PM)AHMED HOSSAM Wrote: Ok, i understand this .

Have you tried my modified a08 !
If yes , tell me if it throttles and the temp of the throttle please

Hi

The unmodified A08 throttles at 63 degrees using furmark, and does not get any higher temp because of throttling.
My FPS drops to 5fps at 63 degrees and then rises back to normal 35fps when temp drops to 58 degrees.
Your modded A08 does not throttle at all stays at 35fps, but my laptop blue screens when temp reaches 75 degrees when I use furmark which might be the limit of card temp or might be something else? I don't think any games will put enough stress on the GPU to reach the temp of 75 degrees like furmark does, but over-clocking GPU might...
Thanks for your hard work

did the AO7 bios had supported 3D or it`s only the A08 bios that support 3D !

I WILL UPLOAD ANOTHER MOD TODAY Smile

Yes A07 bios for M17X-R3 did have support for 3D. I'm running A06 which was not released and it has 3D support as well.

Here is the link to A07 bios

It left my laptop in a bricked state. It would turn on and beep 15 or 20 times and just sit there. I had to do a manual BIOS recovery using my USB stick. I would recommend removing that link so noone flashes it and bricks their system without knowing how to fix it Smile

I`m sorry for this .
i have removed the link from my previous post and it seems like i forgot to adjust the modules checksums and directly integrated it .
i have made alot of changes in the a04 and forgot about adjusting checksums.........sorry for this .
you can easily use crisis disk with WIN+B keys and it will flash your bios .
i will upload another mod today

Actually recovery is easier for this laptop, it was difficult for me to figure it out. It was a mixture of recovery from many different model laptops

I actually created a guide: http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienwar...ost7791370

When will you have the next test ready? In a few minutes or few hours? If it's going to be awhile I might go to sleep Smile
Read this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienwar...moved.html

I am quite sure it is unrelated to what you did. Do you have any explanation?

HI ALL ,

try this file please ( A04 WITH 3D SUPPORT )

http://www.mediafire.com/?a9nllca7cqdln3l

- i will give you explain for this later time as i`m in a hurry now Big Grin , but sure it`s not related to any thing i have moded .
also , do you mean you have 3D now with out throttle using original A08 ! Big Grin

I was thinking that there would be a modded A08 with throttle removed and all the other updates since A04 Sad I will go back to A04 dell bios because it takes 20 seconds to load your modded A08 without throttle and the above A04 bios screen without throttle and 3D. I do not have 3D so cannot test, but you above modded A04 does not have throttle.
