This is one of my problems. The updated bios on the panasonic will not load, if it will not load standard i don't think it will load modded?. Here is the link anyway
http://dlc.panasonic-europe-service.com/EUDocs/GetDoc.aspx?did=124671&fmt=ZIP&lang=en&src=3&uilang=en-GB&model=CF28PCxxxx
Is there a way of extracting/backing up the bios alredy instaled for modding??

Well i can confirm this is a phoenix bios file , but these cannot be backed up successfully (Well , they technically can but the backup will be unflashable)

What you could try is making a bootable DOS CD/USB/ using this tutorial http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Ho...-DOS-Guide and then copying all of the downloaded files onto it. Then boot off the USB/CD/DVD and type this at the DOS Prompt:

Bu28M2 V201L13.282

If this takes , then post the modded splash screen you want and we can mod it! Big Grin

Good Luck!

Taken from Enclosed Readme:-

To write model and serial number in the BIOS ROM, perform the
attached utility (BU28M2.EXE) as follows.

BU28M2 -d -sn -cn

Note :
The serial number described in the will be written in the
specific area of the BIOS ROM. "-sn" and "" must be connected
without any spaces.

The model number described in the will be written in the
specific area of the BIOS ROM. "-cn" and "" must be connected
without any spaces.

If is not specified, serial and model number will be
written in the current BIOS ROM.

With "-d" option, this utility doesn't check the existence of
both AC Adaptor and battery, and adjusting date and time in
BIOS setup is not required.

To initialize the CMOS setting to the factory default, perform
the attached utility (ECMOS.EXE) as follows.

ECMOS /isf

Note :
Initialize the CMOS setting to the factory default after updating serial
and model number. Because in some models, CMOS default setting changes
by its model number.

Get the official one to take before we mod one!
