not able to access bios
#1
Motherboard Asus Prime H370M-plus SN: 27618500122MB0WC0A030602N
American Megatrends Bios [EUFI?] v. 0802
Fast boot on?
OS = openSuse Tumbleweed 20251127 06.17.9-1
GNU Grub v 2.12 Boot is Grub-BLS?

[b]Note: Where I have '?' [above] I am not 100% sure of fact.[/b]

Condition: When starting PC I get no POST, it boots into OS, but will not boot into BIOS.
On startup I get one beep, no POST screen and screen says Press DEL or F2 to enter BIOS.
On pressing DEL or F2 the screen goes black and will not enter OS.
On restart if I don't try to enter BIOS it will start the OS. Things seem normal in the OS.

Things tried:
1. Clearing CMOS – Followed directions from Asus website. After clearing CMOS I get an American Megatrends screen that says press F1 to repair BIOS. When I press F1 the screen goes black and nothing happens. I must reboot to get back into OS.
2. Clearing CMOS – Followed directions from Asus website. After clearing CMOS I get an American Megatrends screen that says press F1 to repair BIOS. Plugged in the USB [BIOS update] Pressed F1 - screen goes black and nothing happens.
3. Plugged in BIOS USB and start PC. comes to DEL or F2 screen. Screen goes black nothing happens.
4. ASUS CrashFree BIOS 3 utility – Followed the directions from motherboard owner’s manual. On startup and inserting USB with renamed BIOS on it screen remains black – nothing happens. I suspect it is not seeing the USB stick.
5. Saw a suggestion to try different keyboards, maybe the F keys were not recognized – Tried four different keyboards [all wired, USB or PS2].

Is there maybe a LIVE USB stick that may be of help? or some other way of accessing BIOS?

This is all I have found through google search to try. Appreciate any suggestions of help and advice. Thank you.
