wifi not working after bios update
#1
Hello, Need urgent help on this. The laptop is HP-15r002ne
I was installing SSD in my Laptop and did a clean windows 10 install and everything was working fine. Then I saw a Bios update for my Laptop on hp support. The old bios was F.18 and the new version was F.46. After installing the bios, the laptop is unable to toggle on the Wifi Switch. I tried the troubleshooter and it tells me to turn on the physical wifi switch on the laptop which is already on. The bluetooth is working fine and in network adapters, the wireless adapter is enabled. But the wifi switch on windows dashboard is not turning on and I tried almost everything.
I did a clean windows 10 Install again but this time even windows installation could not detect the wireless network and tells me that it is turned off. Kindly help on this. Most probably this is a Bios update issue and I dont know how to downgrade it or if its even possible to do. Also after the Bios update, the fan is running much faster than it used to and also creating much noise. I dont know in which section this should be so I am posting in the general section

(01-14-2022, 04:07 AM)Yeah i dont have  problem doing that but I am unable to do that using the typical method. If you can, please guide me through the process. I have already downloaded the f.18 bios file which is sp66772. Maxinator500 Wrote: Wanna downgrade back to F.18?

(01-14-2022, 04:44 AM)Thanks for this. I will go through it and will update you. Also the smallest usb I have is 16GB. Will that work or do i need a smaller one or I can run this directly on the mentioned laptop in the windows environment?. Maxinator500 Wrote:
