Bios Mods -The Best BIOS Update and Modification Source

760 updated to A16 and xeon x3363 1067A

..downloaded and copied bios to bootable freedos USB and exe is reporting it can't run in DOS.

OS on machine is fedora 24 ...can I flash this bios in anything other than windows?

Would it be possible to get a modded bios version of this, for the Optiplex 980?

I'm considering Xeon for my dell, but cant find anywhere if my MB supports Xeon or not (MB0106, 0C522T)

My optiplex 780 with E8600 (before x3363) run fine before the update.

Flash with success the O780-A15 1067A-771.exe (4.79MB) over official O780-A14.exe and pblm, windows try to start and stop/reboot (with E8600) :

Because this bios mod is replace 775 e0 to 771 e0(it only modify platform type 11 to 44) ,so it only contain 771 e0 stepping ,775 is not.
Your e8600 should be e0 stepping i think ,so it will occur this status.

You can flash original version bios from offical website, i think it can solve your problem.

HI all I know it's an old forum post by now but I came across a dell optiplex 780 mini tower last week for $50 with the q45 express chipset and the LGA 775 I'm kind of confused on the above chart. But I was wanting to know if I could get a Xeon processor or an i7 or something with a bit more power that what's in it now. Thanks in advance

I get the cpu nag on boot with a x3633. :/

I have an Optiplex 380 desktop, with Core 2 duo, and i'm using O380-A07 1067A-771.exe on Windows 10... I execute it, the PC reboot, and flash the bios succefully.

Black screen... clear cmos... allways black screen.

I re put the original CPU core 2 duo and i have an error like, "CPU no supported..."

I have reflashed in DOS mode the original Dell A7 bios and the PC work.

Any idea ?

Hi guys , i'm looking for a modded Optiplex 755 bios image , does anyone happen to have succesfully moded that machine?
I want to use a xeon 3363 in it , and it actually powers on with it and i'm able to use it in windows 7 , unfortunately w10 wont start with it.
When my pc powers on i get the " unsupported cpu " message , but it continues to boot.
This wont be a huge problem for me , but the cooling fan runs at full throttle , and really loud , resonates the desk with it actually.
So a mod can be done for it? The A22 is the newest image i found at dell's site , did some research  , extracted the .rom file , and got stuck , i dont know how to mod this file , phoneix bios modding tool wont open the file , saying its unsupported.
Can someone do it for me? Or if has it , share it with me?
Would be a great thing.
