Hi Everyone
I received my Xeon X3363 today and installed the CPU into my (Bios Modified) Dell Optiplex 780, all started up without a problem,
I used the program (SET FSB = version 2.2.134.98) to push my FSB from the standard 332 to 342 for an extra 76Mhz overclock. The CPU is now running at 2900Mhz. I could not increase the FSB any further from 342FSB without the computer freezing up.
Happy with the results, thanks everyone who contributed to this thread.

can i use x5450 on my o380 or does it have to be the 'E' séries?
Thanks you
Sorry no one got back to you. The Opti 380 can run the 80W E5450, and the 120W X5450, and X5460, and probably the X5470 also.
