Ok mate,
This is the Bios Update Lenovo Site link :

http://support.lenovo.com/it/it/products...s/DS032000

There is the Bios for your Laptop ?
I cannot get any information without a Bios Backup or version or more informations !
But I know that all these Laptops have same Bios (Firmware) so I think the real issue
is on Service Wink
Please let me know the Eerpom Chips name that are on MoBo (if possible to get photo's MoBo)

Ok Mate,

These are the Eeprom Chips :

--- Flash Devices Found ---
W25Q64BV ID:0xEF4017 Size: 8192KB (65536Kb)
W25Q32BV ID:0xEF4016 Size: 4096KB (32768Kb)

Here is the Schematics Manual (read to page 12) :

http://kythuatphancung.vn/download/lenov...atics.html

It's described the eeprom Chips and enumerate so their size too :

[Image: image.png]

There are named as . . .

U5 = WinBond W25Q64FVSSIG = 8192 KB
U2202 = W25Q32BVSSIG = 4096 KB

So I saw them on left side down under the Chipset . . .

[Image: image.png]

If I remember well I gave two Firmware files and the size Match with my research !!!
So I will conclude with that . . .  Service guys are not good technicians Wink
Let me know

Hi mate,
You have to check if your MoBo has these two Eeprom Chips !!!
I looked better the Pic (I cannot read anything on chips) and found that It's the
CPU and not the Chipset that one I labeled as Chipset (I think It is on down side)
but these near the CPU seem to be the Eeprom Chips !
So read the name on chips and the name on MoBo and look if They match with

U5 = WinBond W25Q64FVSSIG = 8192 KB
U2202 = W25Q32BVSSIG = 4096 KB

Look here too (DUAL SOIC 8 PINS CHIPS) :

http://www.ebay.ie/itm/BIOS-CHIP-LENOVO-...SwNSxVVKma

As your photos are not defined and I cannot read any name Sad

I would to get your confirmation as i haven't saw this Motherboard and there are many
revision :

Lenovo ThinkPad Twist S230u Motherboard iNTEL i7 Planner 04X0734 - 04Y1524 - 04X0732
lenovo thinkpad twist s230u motherboard la-8671p 04y1530

These revisions are based all to same project so far and I would get your confirmation
(to be sure for the future) please !
Let me know
Regards

P.S. make a photo with a higher definition and make a down side too please !!!
