sorry but it didn't work. the laptop is currently bricked and I'm trying various methods of recovery now. it starts up but the screen dosn't turn on.

I did same thing 3rav did in this thread https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-L...476?page=4 .

holding fn+b and power after reconnecting power cable causes fan to spin but usb drive dosn't appear to be reading on any port. tried with backup bin from clip and official lenovo rom no results.

restoring backup created with soic clip gives error.

good news managed to recover by erasing then restoring using backup.

I know that It could be exit as MicroCode is in a Padding Section !
I don't know if It's the real issue but You cane try to use the Unlocked
one version !

your original bios mod worked after erasing also donation sent.

for future reference anyone whishing to try this:
1.connect the clip and detect with CH341A V1.17 until the software gives 128kb chip.
[download at http://see.sl088.com/wiki/Lai_Green_Tool if you don't have it.]
2.change to "COMMON' "25x64".
3.read and save. (crates a backup skip this step if already done)
4.erase . (once you have moded bios)
5.program
