I have the same problem with temperatures, in bios 67 degrees when system just loading. In Windows about 55-60 degrees without load and 80+ when system load. Can anyone know how it fix?
I used mod from genius239 and Ideafix's BIOS mod.

Download RWEverything. Try portable version.
Press CPU MSR registers button, press User list button or F5, type b=0x19C, press Add, press Done.
Post values of MSR with address 0x19C "without load" & "system load".
P.S. What's your CPU.

CPU: Xeon E5450
Values of MSR with address 0x19C "without load":
b 0x19C 0000000088340000 0000000088340000 00000000883A0000 0000000088370000

"system load":

It means
"without load": 33, 33, 27, 30 C
"system load": 59, 53, 51, 49 C
What was native CPU?
What's the Windows tool you used for temperatures?

Native CPU was Core 2 Duo E7200 2.53Ghz
I use SpeedFan and RealTemp. They show approximately the same temperature.

In RealTemp set Tjmax to 85.

And it will show a real temperature?
But what about BIOS?
find

#18
Yes, with Tjmax = 85.
Please determine the exact difference between BIOS values and RealTemp's (with Tjmax = 85).
And I'll try to help you.

Difference between BIOS values and RealTemp = 30-35 degrees (67-70 degrees BIOS, 35 degrees RealTemp)

Perhaps bios shows the maximum CPU temperature  (TCASE - 67°C): http://ark.intel.com/products/33083/Inte...33-MHz-FSB
