lenovo Thinkpad E530C 3366-33U
#1
I have a lenovo Thinkpad E530C laptop and sometimes the computer posts and sometimes not. I see others have this issue on the web but i tried all solutions and no luck. When the computer does post i tried to boot from a bios update cd and when the update is running i get this error. Memory cannot be allocated, and the process did not complete. I tried several versions of the bios and same issue. If i run the bios update from windows the lastest version the winphlash64.exe stops responding and the older versions of the bios error with can not read bios. I can enter the bios and default it. I reset the keys and same issue. I also tried different ram and same issue. Any one else have a solution.

laptop Specs
UEFI BIOS Ver: H0ET90WW (2.50)
Machine Type Model: 3366-33U

I attached two Screenshots for the errors i get when i try with the cd or booting from a usb and running the Phlash16.exe

Is your laptop working normally till manually reboot in cases it POST?
Can you make and post screenshots of first (CPU) & third (Mainboard) tabs of CPU-Z.

And give me a link to the file that you tried to flash by Phlash16 & WinPhlash64.

the laptop will work normally once it boots. But if i shut it down for a while then it wont post. All i get is black screen and power light on. To get it to work sometimes i power off and on many times. Ill pull out the HDD and put back in. Ive held down Fn + R and got it to post. There is no exact way to get it to post its random. I downloaded the Latest Bios from Lenovo H0UJ18WW then once i ran the installer i go into the C:\Drivers\Flash\h0uj18ww\H0ET98WW\ and rename the $0AH0000.FL1 to Bios.WPH and copy that file to the wincrisis usb but that didnt work i also added that file to a bootable usb with the phash16

here is the link to the latest bios version
https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/h0uj18ww.exe

i attached the Phlash16.exe that i used when i made the bootable usb.

The winflash is part of the lenovo bios download. I ran it under windows but it crashes.

It was wrong method.
1. Download Phoenix UEFI Winflash
2. Rename the $0AH0000.FL1 to *.rom
3. Run WinFlash & flash.
P.S. Also you can rename $0AH0000.FL2 to *.cap

i tried Phoenix UEFI Winflash version 1.4.83 and i selected $0A0000.ROM and i get Error Can not open Firmware Device File. With Phoenix UEFI Winflash version 1.5.66 i get EFI Fail: NOT FOUND! I then renamed the FL2 to cap and get Flash BIOS is not an upgrade. (Same or older version number)

I tried to flash using the cap file and it errored out as well.
