Dell Precision 530 4GB Memory Hardware Reserved PAE Disabled
#1
Dell Precision 530 Version A11 now installed.  I have 8x 512MB modules, though just 6x 512MB x2 256MB installed.  Would be nice to have full use of all the available memory.  Thanks

PS - S1 state is only allowed/ non-changeable.  Would like to use S3 sleep state.

I managed to patch the kernel to enable PAE and my CPU(s) have not 32-bit, but 36-bit physical address extension... Still limited ram...

I think the issue is the system board physical address space hex range of 0xFFFFFFFF which is value 34,351,349,760 bits is 4095MB (4GB) basically hogging the last 769MB...

Since 769MB to bits 6,450,839,552 decimal to hex is 180800000.

So to resolve this would need to shorten slightly the "System Board" address space to 67F000000.

6,450,839,552
34,351,349,760
27,900,510,208
