[REQUEST] Lenovo Ideacentre 700-25ISH , NVME Support
#1
Lenovo Ideacentre 700-25ISH 90ED / 90ED0009US i5-6400 / 100-series

Screenshot of your current setup menus: See Post #2 below, and link for all 11.
-
Link to the bios image you're trying to mod: Any. Here is the currently installed: https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/des...y70usa.exe , switch exe to txt to view release notes.
-
First Edit: Lenovo released firmware version 79 a couple of days ago (I have 70, the support site says 70 is the latest and clicking the links for exe or txt download 6A.
Here is 79's page: http://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/produc...s/ds104868 or the direct link: https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/des...y79usa.exe (latest is preferable).
-
Second Edit: Further investigation reveals some types of the IdeaCentre 710, ThinkCentre M700, M800 and M900 use the same firmware updates.
-
The 960 EVO 512GB is already installed, cloned in the O. S. and ready for startup.  Thanks in advance.  Your assistance is appreciated.

Not all of them were uploaded, I do have every screen.  Eleven Photos Are Here: http://imgur.com/a/XdaGZ

In addition, the following are available if they are needed: a backup was created with AFUWin, AMIDEWin-Aptio-5.16 data was exported, RWEverything report, Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit export (twice the size it should be, may be user error),  MMTools v4/5 *.rpt files, Intel FPT data (soon), system firmware images for nearly any version are available online by switching the download link and anything else that might be useful.

It appears there are other options not attempted that may produce results.  Some give the impression it is unlikely or dangerous.  Others a better understanding is needed.  They include:

"FPT doesn't work when the SPI flash lock is enabled?  -  Sometimes the lock will be removed after restoration from sleep/hibernate mode."
"Also there may be a hidden BIOS write-protection option in BIOS settings, which can be changed by grub shell setup_var command."
"create then modify the backup from afu" [Does not alter the outcome]

How to flash the BIOS mod Asrock motherboard with BIOS Aptio 5.
1) Flash the original version of the BIOS.
2) FPT Utility to make a backup of the Region BIOS.
- example:

Code:
fpt -d bios.bin -bios
2) Modified file "bios bin", for example in UBU or UEFITool, and save the changes as a "mod_bios.bin".
3) Now, using the FPT, to flash the modified file.
- example:

Code:
fpt -f mod_bios.bin -bios
4) Reboot and Reset.
Added:
Why do we have to work with a backup?
If you flash the original version of the BIOS, you can lose the unique data such as MAC, S/N and etc.

"replace lan PXE boot rom and set 1st in boot order?"
EFIFlash or something similar?
