#1
Question
If I make a BIOS backup, is it possible to extract a CPU support list from it?  Huh

It's an old phoenix bios.

BIOS backup wiil not help.
Post screenshots of first (CPU) & third (Mainboard) tabs of CPU-Z with current CPU.
Show a photo of stickers on (or near) slots for memory.

Thanks for your reply. These are my CPU-Z photos. (attachment) +  a high resolution photo of my mobo. http://i67.tinypic.com/i375si.jpg
This CPU is a 40nm one. I want to change it to a 32nm one, because of heat+loudness issue.

I hope I can.

i3 330m didn't worked for me. Sad

This laptop use some different revisions of motherboard.
On your photo - 31ZYBMB0030, I think it has part number is MB.PUM06.001: M/B QC DIS HM55 BROADWAY_PRO 1G W/CARD READER W/O CPU RAM
Please remove all SODIMMs and make a photo again.

Did you you tried to use this algorithm:
1) remove AC jack, Main Battery, and CMOS Battery
2) remove HDD and all SODIMMs
3) wait 10 mins
4) press and hold power button for 30 sec.
5) install CMOS Battery and one SODIMM only (in "1" marked slot), inject AC jack (without Main Battery!)
6) try to boot your laptop.

Photo without SODIMMs http://i63.tinypic.com/262skqp.jpg

I haven't tried this algorithm. I mean I took the CMOS battery out, but nothing more.
If I follow this steps, should I press and hold power button for 30 sec - without the CMOS battery? I see the next step, but why is it important to do this without this battery?

Will it work? What do you think?

So it's MB.PUM06.001. As I said.

Yes, it's very important. CMOS should be erased.
