[REQUEST] ASRock Z77 Pro3 Unlock
#11
Thanks.

I did a dump with fpt using "fptw64.exe -bios -d copy_yt.bin"

[Image: ozHfVcp.png]

Going to review/edit the options i want to be visible with amibcp and then try to flash with "fptw64.exe -f copy_yt.bin - bios" & "fptw64.exe -commit"

Appreciate your help

Just to update on this.

I finally got some time to use amibcp and un-hide some of the settings i was looking for and flashed it afterwards. It worked without any issues but was still unable to disable Turbo Boost as i was looking for. It seems it is impossible thing to do with this board and CPU (i5 3570K) even with the hidden Turbo menus.

Anyway, now i know it can't be done even after the edits to the BIOS.

Once again, thanks for your help @genius239

So ,you mean even you disable "Intel Turbo Boost Technology" ,it still unavailable?
I think you could attempt to directly disable it or set it disable by default via amibcp.
There are three "Intel Turbo Boost Technology" options you can find on amibcp.
1. Main => blank folder
2. Advanced =>CPU PPM Configuration
3. OC Tweaker

@genius239

After un-hidding the menus via amibcp they appear on bios without any problem, the only one that was not visible for me on original bios was the first from your links posted, but even after that when i select disabled it does nothing, Turbo Boost is still engaged.

The same goes for CPU Voltage > Fixed mode, it also doesn't work. It always falls back to Turbo Boost additional voltage.
I think we can't do anything with this board from what i've seen which is unfortunate.

So ,do you think what reasons cause this? i've search related information in the internet., some asrock z77 board owners has meet the same issues with you ,

I truly don't know... but if i were to guess i would say its motherboard limitation.

I was looking at the settings and noticed that under CPU Configuration it says "Target CPU Turbo Speed" leading me to believe that all the settings under that menu are related/tied to Turbo Boost. So, if i wanna use a different multiplier/ratio than CPU base (in this case 3.4 Ghz) i am forced into Turbo Boost territory.

[Image: d4rDjVa.png]

There's no other setting for CPU Ratio under any other category, only this one. So, if i really wanna disable Turbo Boost i can only do so by running those settings on Auto which then will run CPU at base clock (3.4 Ghz). If i want to overclock, i need Turbo Boost.
