Is there any way around this

Can you determine at what specific moment the wifi is turned off? Monitor the temperature throughout the working cycle of the wifi. Shutdown should occur at some point. But that's all I can say. It's not whitelist related.

If everything is as you describe, this is a whitelist problem. But you cannot install a modified BIOS without a SPI programmer tool. A protection HP uses is not bypassable in any other way.

Had to SPI flash it when I first got it Previous owner sold it on ebay dirt cheap because it "lost power during BIOS update". Had to SPI flash my friends 8770 as well because he entered UEFI with the stock quadro and it doesnt support UEFI so it just black screened
