Hi,

Very nice work with the modded A19 bios to enable UEFI support. Don't know to be sure if "DELL" officially supports UEFI in A19 as some have said in the forums.

Fn+F2 issue still outstanding (causing hard lock in Win8 UEFI, everything freezes), however if I set "Airplane Mode, disable Wifi Radio option it does not freeze, so there may be an issue with Fn+F2 latching onto the win8 feature).

Don't know if eventually updating to UEFI 2.3.1 is possible and changing the Phoenix Tiano setup bios resolution to higher (as seen on Inspiron 5521) is possible short of getting a newer notebook.

Worth a try to post here.

my problem is that i am using this dell for graphical design work and the optimus switching is verry frustrating evry time my charger disconects by mistake my design progam crashes.

if someone can fix the bios with the optin to set optimus off that would help alot

Hi please help me!! Sad i have dell l702x cause won't run bios F2 only black screen because i see Boot menu F12 have three windows boot manager ?? how to remove it see picture http://postimg.org/image/9evmpg833/

These are UEFI boot options and can be removed via UEFI Shell.

Did anyone ever figure out how to unlock multipliers in the bios with an unlocked processor?? I was able to successfully install an i7 2960XM in my Dell 17 XPS L702X with zero thermal throttling. In fact, I have quite a bit of head room since I am not running hotter than 75 C at the moment with 5+ hours of emulation. However, instead of running at 3.4 GHz with 4 cores, I would like to run at 3.7 Ghz with all 4, but I still cannot find where to unlock the multipliers or add any voltage, or even change bclk in the Modded bios provided ( I am using the one with tweaked GPU voltages). If anyone can help me figure this out, I am more than willing to donate to their cause. 
Else, I think its time to upgrade to a new lappy (thinking about the Alienware 17 R4   Big Grin )

I think we modded the A18 and A19 bioses of the L702X some time ago
