It's a known issue with the older VIA chipsets and PCI-e rev2.0 cards. Mainboard BIOS update won't correct the problem, a VGA BIOS update will.

As far as I know, this can't be modded by the end user, so contacting MSI support is necessary. Ask them for a GEN1 VGA BIOS - one that forces the card to be PCI-e rev1.0 compliant, as older VIA chipsets are poorly designed with future SATA/PCI-e in mind.

As I already told you - contact MSI and ask for a GEN1 VGA BIOS. Flashing BIOS from another card is not guaranteed to work, since little to none new cards come with GEN1 BIOS by default. Nvidia is only the chip manufacturer, so contacting MSI - the graphic card vendor - is a must. This motherboard does not have support for PCI-e rev2.0 cards - that's what the problem was in the first place.
