Sattellite T115D (PST1LU)
#1
I want to upgrade the wifi card to a 802.11n

-Manufacturer: Toshiba
-Model : Satellite T115D-S1125RD (PST1LU)
-Bios Revision: 1.70
-Bios Release: 06/02/2010
-Bios link (v1.70): http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/...1lv170.exe
-Bios Type: Phoenix BIOS

Working Wifi Card: PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8199&SUBSYS_818210EC&REV_22\4&3214EBBD&0&0030

Would it be possible to remove the whitelist ?

Thanks.

Sorry TTAV134, I'm still waiting for my new wifi card to arrive, as soon as possibly I'll post the results here.
Thanks

Ok, I've tested my new wifi card and it performs very well, but now I have a new problem. This laptop model doesn't have a physical switch to enable or disable the wireless lan card, it must be performed using the "Toshiba Flash Cards" utility wich is part of "Toshiba Value Added Package" by pressing a Fn+F8 hotkey, but the hotkey doesn't work, the only way to enable or disable it has to be from inside of the bios settings, but then, I need to perform a restart every time I need to switch it on or off. When I install the original wifi card, everything works like a charm again. Is there a way to restore the functionability of the Toshiba Utility?

Thanks.

Hi TTAV134, Utility is only for a 64 bits OS and the link is: TVAP.

Thanks again.

I've uploaded here http://www.sendspace.com/file/t0bpbe, whole the files at the FlashCard folder, I think is easyer to find the software whitelist, this way.

I found a way to make the hotkey to work, I add my new wificard devid in system registry in 4 sections "HKLM\SOFTWARE\TOSHIBA\Wireless Hotkey", "HKLM\SOFTWARE\TOSHIBA\ConfigFree", "HKLM\SOFTWARE\TOSHIBA\WirelessAPL\BTWLANDP" and "HKLM\SOFTWARE\TOSHIBA\WirelessDeviceID", and everything works perfectly.

Thanks TTAV134, for your time.
