can you test this bios ?
camiloml, thanks for wasting you free time on me.. i think that i'll wait until you get home

I' m using a card that is not listed therefore it is unlocked. The problem is I can' t change anything and save the changes because the result is black screen. The only solution is a reset cmos removing the battery.

Happy holidays and thanks camiloml!

Try saving changes without exiting, and then exit bios discarding changes.

Please remember to come back and leave feedback. I hate leech and disappear thing.

Nice day.

Ps. and VT isn't workin, even if i try to disable/enable it in bios, with saveing changes without exit and then exit discarding changes (checked it with VMWare)

I tryed saving changes without exiting, and then exiting bios discarding changes and it works. The problem is with CTRL+ALT+DEL or USB boot. This causes black screen like changing the BIOS settings such as switching GPU.

There are possible solutions?

If spxxxxx number is same then bios is same Wink

Model name in file just match the requester data, that's why i normally include spxxxxx in the name, that way anyone with same spxxxxx know it will work for him too.

Thanks, we got someone else who tried it and he confirms the whitelist works as long as he doesn't mess with the bios settings. I imagine the guy who posted in the thread I mentioned earlier must've never messed with those.

Whitelist is unlocked but the changes is problematic. After several tests in the gpu bios settings my laptop will not boot and I can't make the CMOS reset or this has no effect.

Can anyone help me please?
I removed the battery and I have no results.

My Laptop is dead!

try this:

goto another computer
there download (ORIGINAL) sp54024.exe and extract it.
then open sp54024 folder and search for 01658.bin file.
now search for some usb flash disk and format it to fat32.
now copy that 01658.bin to flash drive like this Sadcontrol that you wrote folder names in upper case)
X:\HEWLETT-PACKARD\BIOS\Current\01658.bin

copy to these too :
X:\HEWLETT-PACKARD\BIOS\CURRENT\01658.bin
and
X:\HEWLETT-PACKARD\BIOS\CURRENT\01658.BIN
and
X:\01658.bin
and
X:\01658.BIN

when copying is finished, take your usb flash disk and plugi it to
dv6 usb 2.0 port.
now (when your dv6 is turned off) hold down Windows key and B keys (or try Fn + Esc keys) and turn power on.
(It takes about 2-3 minutes and notebook powered down itself)
and then (when everything is flashed normal)power it on and it should start as normal.

PS. It should work on CD too.

i really hope that this method works to your computer...
when not, you can try it again
and/or do CMOS reset again (take off all power sources [batterys/power adapter] , remove cmos battery and wait about 2 minutes, then plug power adapter back and power it on, it should start and post you screen where it says CMOS resetted , press enter to boot)
