I need this before I will ever work on a songy

HOW TO CREATE AN RW EVERYTHING REPORT:

First and FOREMOST - DO NOT RENAME THIS FILE AT ALL - When it saves it will save to a DEFAULT NAME. LEAVE THAT NAME ALONE and DO NOT TOUCH IT or CHANGE THE NAME. If you do rename the file, I will put you on the backburner or at the end of the line for your request.

Download and Install RWEverything from one of the following links:
http://jacky5488.myweb.hinet.net/
http://jacky5488.myweb.hinet.net/bin/RwV1.4.zip
http://slics.myftp.org/Tools/RwV1.4.rar

Open RWEverything.

After RWEverything Opens, click ACCESS - ACPI Tables.

When ACPI Tables opens, click anywhere within the ACPI Window.

Now click CONTROL + F2 to save the entire table.

Save this Report to the desktop WITHOUT CHANGING THE NAME and either attach this file to your post or upload it to one of the following:
www.box.net or www.mediafire.com or www.sendspace.com

If you upload your RWEverything Report to one of the 3 host servers above, post the download link of your RWEverthing Report in the Post of your Mod Request.

Below is the preferred method in which to post your mod requests:

-Manufacturer:
-Motherboard Model:
-Bios revision:
-Bios Type: Phoenix BIOS
-Bios Download Link:
-RW Everything Report Download Link:

Hi all,

Sorry not to have posted a reply, I've been very ill and haven't had the chance...

I managed to successfully flash my BIOS with the one that BusyKid made, I did it a while ago obviously so I can't remember the exact procedure, but I think I just renamed the SLIC'd BIOS to the same name as the original sony one, then put it in the folder replacing the sony one...

Maybe that didn't work the first time and I had to flash the original sony BIOS first...

But eventually it flashed. I was using the same version of BIOS as the original one before and after the SLIC process... so I dont think you need new version of the BIOS to SLIC it.. unless of course there is nowhere to insert the SLIC table or some other technical reason that is WAAAAY over my head...

I havent yet tested the Win7 install because my gf uses the laptop for university and has to use it a bit longer before I change it from vista to 7...

But as long as the SLIC table is in the BIOS I'm sure it will go fine!

Thanks a million!

I'll donate to the boards once I install the OS!

YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!

Hi,

Here are the screen shots from the dump tool...
http://members.optusnet.com.au/ebaypix/SLICTool/

I have saved an image of the laptop in both windows vista and 7 so I am switching between the two to test different things...

I have found I am able to use the tool which came with the original sony bios (winphlash) but only by using the executable "WBFlash" which is in the same folder.

I have an older version of the BIOS and can flash between the two, but the new one which was modded by BusyKid doesn't seem to activate Sad

Going to go back to windows 7 and try again... thanks for your help

Here you go , i used Sony Vaio 2.1 SLIC + Certificate Included:-

1. Copy and paste ******.XRM-MS certificate file into C-Drive.

2. After pasting this file into C-Drive, go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMPT. Right click on Command Prompt and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

3. When Command Prompt opens, type at the prompt: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\********.xrm-ms and hit the Enter Button. Wait for the Script Host to answer you with a message that the license was installed successfully....this could take a few minutes and so be patient.

4. After receiving the message that the license was installed successfully, type at the command prompt: slmgr.vbs -ipk *****-*****-*****-*****-***** (Replace with any OEM SLP Product Key for your installed version of Windows 7 , they are not hard to find).Be Patient and wait for the message to say that the Product Key was sucessfully installed. After it says successfully installed, reboot the computer.

5. When you are back at your desktop, go to START - COMPUTER - right click on Computer and choose PROPERTIES and see if it is activated with an OEM product ID.
