Hi guys i'm new in this forum.
I have this notebook and i have always oc him with throttlestop because my bios is locked.

Now i have download the modded bios post in first page and installed correctly but there is a problem.
There are many new options but i don't no where to change the value for overclock. There are numbers (00-01-02 etc...) and letters (AA-AB etc...) but not %.
For example in the Alienware Phoenix Bios there is "Overclock: 1%-2%-3% etc...

There is a tutorial for use this type of bios? i have i7 920xm CPU.

Thank you for your respons and many compliments for the service that you offer!

TDP & TDC limits are power & current limits when Turbo Boost should be decreasing. The calculation is like this:-
Code:
For example, TDP limit = 178h = 376 (decimal)

The value is in 1/8ths:-
376 / 8 = 47W

x-Core Ratio Limit where x is a number of active core(s). So, the number set in these fields are the max multiplier.
Code:
For example, 2-cores active:-
2-Core Ratio Limit = 17h = 23 (decimal)

So, the max multiplier when 2-cores active are [b]x23[/b].

So, to overclock, need to increased these numbers.

Ok now i understand.

For example if i want a multplier of 28 i set the core 1 and 2 at 22h? (22h=28)
And the core 3-4?

The TDC limit, if i want 70w, how mutch is the value?

The last question, it's possible in this bios increase the Serial Bus? The Dell M18x have this possibility to increase from 133mhz to 140/144mhz with the same 920xm; but in the bios that you have mod i don't have see this.

If i increase the fsb, i set the multpier more slow and the 920xm have minor stress.

28x133=3,7 ------ hard stress for cpu because the multplier is too high
27x140=3,78-3,8 ----- more stable cpu for a smaller multplier
27x144=3,9 ------ setting of Dell M18x. More stable and high performance (Function not prensent in Poenix Bios)

Thanks for your respons and sorry for my english.

1-Core Ratio Limit = set multiplier when only one core active
2-Core Ratio Limit = set multiplier when only two cores active
3-Core Ratio Limit = set multiplier when only three cores active
4-Core Ratio Limit = set multiplier when four cores active

TDC Limit = 70W * 8 = 560 (decimal) = 230h
So, put 230h at TDC Limit.

Do you mean Bus Speed? Did you try "Bus Speed Override" setting? If it doesn't work, you will need to use SetFSB or SetPLL (free). You will need to know what/which Clock Generator your notebook have. Possibly need to do pinmod.

Do Sager also released x8100 equivalent notebook? Sager BIOS usually support overclocking.

Oh now i understand thank you very mutch Kizwan Big Grin

Yes i have try Bus Speed but doens't work with any setting.....!!why?

The same model of Sager is the NP8120. I have downloaded many days ago the 1.00.11oc; this have the multiplier unlocked (the function is x1-x2-x3-x4) but when i set 1-2-3 or 4 don't have changes in my cpu Sad
